Carnival by Tresind explores the best of Indian cuisine with a modern twist.
Tucked away in Burj Daman in the DIFC district, Carnival by Tresind is a Michelin Guide Featured Restaurant. Offering a playful take on Indian cuisine, the menu offers classic dishes with a modern twist.
A fine-dining Indian restaurant, they aren’t afraid to push the boundaries of the norms of traditional Indian food. With a vast and expansive menu, this Indian restaurant is super inventive.
We began our meal with a smiley bao amuse-bouche that really set the tone for what was coming ahead. A fun and playful meal with seriously solid flavor combinations. The chaat trolley was rolled over to our table next and we watched as our server expertly put a sweet and tangy bowl of goodness together. The Carnival Chaat, should not be missed!
Other dishes included Chicken Khurchan, an exciting mix of chicken with salsa beans, black olives, and avocado cream served with blue corn tortilla crisp, and Maggie Trolley, a creative twist on traditional Maggi served in 3 unique flavors. The Kala Khatta Burrata is a combination of lusciously creamy burrata topped with arugula, grape and blueberry preserve.
In the mains the Duck Curry is delightful-confit duck served with peanut butter curry that we scooped up with a pillowy garlic naan. The showstopper is the Wagyu Beef that is seared with generous amounts of butter on the table. It is then topped with a mix of spices and presented on a bed of chili cheese toast. This dish is truly the Chef’s kiss!
From the eclectic, brightly colored décor to the contemporary dishes and inventive mixology, Carnival by Trèsind is a restaurant that truly celebrates modern Indian cuisine.
