Dubai’s Crown Prince, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, toured ‘Bustanica’, the world’s largest vertical farm that recently opened near Al Maktoum International Airport, by Emirates at an investment of AED150 million and with an annual production capacity of 1 million kg of leafy greens.
The hydroponic farm is geared to produce more than a million kilogrammes of leafy greens annually while requiring 95% less water than conventional agriculture

It has been developed in a joint venture between Emirates Flight Catering and Crop One, an industry leader in technology-driven indoor vertical farming
Fazza added that the launch of the facility reflects Dubai’s priority in enhancing agricultural and self-sufficiency through the use of advanced technologies
