At 11.15 carats, the Williamson Pink Star is the second largest internally flawless fancy vivid pink diamond to ever appear at auction.
Originating from a mine in Tanzania, the stunner was unveiled by Sotheby’s for an auction.
The Sotheby’s website gives more details about the pink diamonds. The pink hues make these diamonds exceptionally rare. Pink diamonds occur in various classes- Faint, Very Light, Light, Fancy Light, Fancy, Fancy Intense and Fancy Vivid.
The Fancy vivid is the most sought-after colour, which is why the auction in Hong Kong is set to bring in some of the big money!
