There’s nothing quite like an authentic Sunday roast to complete the weekend, and The Coterie is the ultimate spot for this British tradition.
Although the parking can be challenging, once you take the elevator up the mood and ambiance totally changes. We were surprised to arrive at a very cozy entrance with a lot of smiling and helpful ladies at the desk.
We chose to sit in the kitchen area that is brightly lit and overlooks the open coffee bar but if you want a more pub-like experience then the booth seating in the bar section is better.
The menu features a variety of meats, roast chicken, and even a vegan alternative for leaf-eating friends, complete with trimmings of As we were a party of three we picked the sharing option of the roast with the choice of two meats . Our choice of lamb was succulent and the beef was tender. The juicy meats came with plenty of trimmings including crisp pillows of Yorkshire pudding, rich gravy, and a combination of root vegetables- from cauliflower & leek cheese and roast potatoes to sage & onion stuffing.
We also tried a side of the fish and chips and it was absolutely delightful! Topped with vinegar, we loved the hearty meal.
Apart from a fantastic roast you can also start the meal with plenty of appetizing starters that include scotch eggs, grain fed steak tartare, and confit duck hash. and end the experience on a sweet note with nostalgic desserts such as Eton mess, sticky toffee pudding, and caramel Tia Maria tipsy cake.
The Coterie offers the perfect leisurely Sunday spent indulging in comfort food in a contemporary setting.
